On September 7th, the Corn Moon rises, golden, abundant, and brimming with quiet wisdom. This full moon is named for the ripening of corn and grains. The foods that sustained our ancestors and carried them into the colder months ahead.
Spiritually, the Corn Moon reminds us of nourishment, not just of the body, but also of the mind, heart, and soul. What are you feeding yourself energetically? Which thoughts, habits, and relationships leave you feeling full, and which leave you hungry for more?
A Corn Moon Ritual for Spiritual Nourishment
You will need:
A yellow or white candle (for nourishment and clarity)
A small bowl of grain, seeds, or even popcorn kernels
Paper and pen
Steps:
Prepare your space. Light the candle and place the bowl of grain beside it as an offering of gratitude.
Reflect. Write down what has nourished you most this year, moments of joy, support, or growth.
Intention. On another paper, write what you wish to cultivate more: strength, healing, abundance, love.
Blessing. Hold the second paper over the grain and speak:
By the light of the Corn Moon, I call in what nourishes my spirit and release what leaves me empty.
Keep the grain on your altar or outside under the moonlight overnight, then scatter it outdoors as an offering of thanks.

The Corn Moon is a reminder that spiritual practices, like tarot and oracle, can be just as nourishing as food for the soul. Each ritual is a way to feed your spirit and prepare for the turning of the season.
